Sterling St James is Hiring a Process Improvement Manager Near Indianapolis, IN

A well-established and reputable company is currently seeking a Process Improvement Manager for their process manufacturing facility located in Indianapolis, IN. This position has become available due to an internal transfer. The company offers excellent benefits including a 401K plan with a 100% match up to 6%, as well as an additional 3% contribution. There is also a 15% bonus potential and 168 hours of monthly PTO accrual. Relocation nationwide is also an option for this role. In this position, you will work collaboratively with your team to drive a culture of continuous learning and improvement, ensuring sustained world-class performance.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing leadership and expertise in implementing best practices for the company's performance system.
  • Guiding the roll-out of the company's performance system and driving the cultural shift towards managing through pillars.
  • Coordinating and supporting plant pillar and platform leads in areas such as 5S, Safety, Planned Maintenance, and Focused Improvement.
  • Engaging all associates through hands-on mentoring and conducting audits.
  • Monitoring the timeline of the Sprint Plan and ensuring successful completion by engaging pillar leads and plant leadership.
  • Leading the Reliability Improvement Plans (RIP) by establishing action plans and scheduling follow-up meetings.
  • Providing coaching to teams on giving and receiving feedback, root cause analysis, trade-off analysis, interpersonal communications, and external interactions.
  • Working with the Operations teams to establish an Autonomous Maintenance work culture and ensure operations are running to centerline.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Organizational Development, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in plant manufacturing.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Continuous Improvement environment, including TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement systems.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in mentoring teams and individuals.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in root-cause analysis, data collection, and utilizing TPM and other company performance system concepts such as "Why, Why/How, How" and Phenomena Thinking.
